Will Smith he made it to Instagram on Friday to write a moving birthday tribute to his ex-wife, Sheree Zampino.
Aged 51, he divorced the actor in 1995. They share a 26-year-old son, Trey Smith.
"Happy Bday, @shereezampino. #BestBabyMamaEver! 🙂 I love you, Ree-Ree," Will, 50, wrote on Instagram, next to a reminder photo, of Sheree and of their boy when he was baby.
"Sensational," Chris Rock commented. "You have a very understanding woman."
Sheree responded to Will and also paid tribute to their son and the wife of the actor Jada Pinkett Smith, writing, "Awwwwwwwww … thanks baby dad !!!!!! I love you in return! And thanks @ treysmith0011 for being the reason for our meeting.And @jadapinkettsmith for his understanding, his safety and his incredible "wife, mother, mother bonus and co-parenting partner! [heart emoji]"
Jada, 47, wrote his own birthday tribute to Sheree on his own Instagram page, a few hours before Will posted his own.
"Happy birthday @shereezampino!" the actress wrote. "Whew Chili! It has been a hell of a journey between us and I am grateful to you! You have been the cause of many deaths and profound lessons for your ego. Jada, who shares his son Jaden Smith and Willow Smith with Will, did not always hear with Sheree.
On the premiere of his new show on Facebook Watch Talk Red Table, aired in May, Jada told Sheree about their previous relationship. Jada had started going out with Will when he accepted Sheree's divorce petition, and the situation was a little tricky between the two women.
