A student at UNIVERSITY shared a breathtaking video of what happened when her false eyelashes were fixed – with nail glue.

Megan Rixson has urged her social media subscribers to be "very, very, very careful" where they get eyelashes.

The criminology student at the University of Bedfordshire posted on her Twitter account a video showing the damage that glue had caused her at the time.

Megan, 20, received her "treatment" last Friday at a small store in Luton's shopping mall, Beds, which she says she does not remember.

She captioned the video: "Girls should be very careful when you have eyelashes done! Today, my people have done something new and it turns out that they used nail glue on my eyelashes. I really lost my sight for two hours.

Megan warned her followers to be "very, very cautious" in choosing where to lash her eyelashes.

"Fortunately, the swelling has decreased but they are still very painful."

In the video, Luton's Megan explains that the tears you see are not actually because she's upset, but because her eyes are constantly flowing because of botched treatment.

She points to her right eye and says that he is "on fire," then reveals that his left eye has a hard time opening it completely. Megan then says "everything is very fuzzy."

The video was put online for the first time last Friday night and has since been viewed more than half a million times. He also received more than 1,500 retweets.

The clip has generated a lot of reactions, with more than 90 responses to the original message.

AlexisLovesMe, a Twitter user, said, "Once mine is done, the glue has burned my eyes and the side of my skin. Eyelashes did not even last a week !!!! It's so scary to reach something with your eyes! "

She revealed that she was struggling to open her left eye

Megan responded by saying that it was "so scary".

SophiaTassew commented: "Deffo is going to the hospital looking for checks and I hope they will provide you with follow up!"

Megan said that she had received eye drops and a special eyewash to help her recover eyes.

Megan also retweeted some of the responses she received from people who shared their disbelief at the treatment.

Princess_b3tty said: "Remember that your eyelashes do not do any research, make sure they're certified Lash Tech!"

The store where the treatment was held has not yet been named, but would likely be located inside The Mall in Luton Mall.

Megan said that the store where she had received the treatment had not tested her and that she had been described as "very unprofessional".

Megan said today, "I think I will take legal action. I receive legal advice.

"The day it happened, I came home but my eyes were so blurry and bloated that I had to bring my boyfriend with me and he was talking.

"They apologized and offered to give me another treatment, but I will not visit them again."
