For the third time only in the history of the franchise, Milwaukee brewers are heading to the league championship series.
The Brewers finished sweeping all three games in the Colorado Rockies National League Division Series at Coors Field on Sunday afternoon. The final score was 6-0 (box score). Colorado was dominated 13-2 in all three games.
With this victory, Milwaukee will face the winner of the series Dodgers vs. Braves of the NLCS. The NLCS starts on Friday. Here are some things to know about the Brewers Match 3 win.
The Rockies scored in a heat of the series
In the ninth inning of the first match, more precisely. The Rockies scored two points in the heat to tie the game against Jeremy Jeffress of the Brewers' closest club. The Brewers won this game in 10 innings anyway.

Rockies lost without Freeland throwing

This is the second lowest silver medal for a skilled pitcher in franchise history (Marvin Freeman averaged 2.80 in 1994). The Wild Card Game undeniably played a decisive role, but the Rockies had the chance to use Freeland at normal rest in the third game and were successful. Brewers go to their third LCS
For the first time since 2011 and for the third time only in the history of the franchise, the Brewers have qualified for the league championship. Here are their two previous LCS trips:

- ALCS 1982: Sweep in three games on Braves (World Series defeats against the Cardinals in seven games).
