An Indiana wife who lost her volunteer firefighter husband to a drunken driver – who was also a firefighter – remembered her deceased fiancé with wedding photos commemorating her.

Jessica Padgett, from Evansville, took the photos of her wedding alone on September 29 – the day of her wedding. His fiancé, Kendall Murphy, was killed in November 2017 while he was responding to an accident in Daviess County, Fox 59 reported.

Kendall Murphy was killed in November 2017 while he was involved in a collision as a volunteer firefighter in Indiana.

Another volunteer firefighter who was also involved in the scene would have been drunk, with a blood alcohol level of 21%, which is almost three times the legal limit. The man reportedly hit Murphy, 27, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Murphy was a "selfless man of God who enjoyed spending time with family and friends," according to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. This is how Padgett, with the help of photographer Mandi Knepp, honored her memory with a photo shoot in a wedding dress.
