A photo of three fifth-grade boys taking a flag in front of their school has become a virulent display of patriotism.
Amanda Reallan, of Idaho, told InsideEdition.com that she was waiting to pick up her kids at Hayden Meadows Elementary School when she saw one of the boys lying on the floor while two others had it folded.
"It was an act of magnificent patriotism," Reallan said. "I thought," Wow! It was just amazing. "I do not even know these boys honestly.
The boys were selected by the school guard, a veteran of the Air Force, to install and remove the flag. Guard Mac Marty showed the boys how to fold and store them properly.
Naylan Tuttle, Jack LeBreck and Casey Dolan told KHQ that they understood the importance of handling the flag carefully.
"It's the flag of our nation, it's the flag of our school, it's the way we represent our country," Mr. LeBreck said. "If you let it touch the ground, then you do not respect our country, that's what I heard."
