Near PORT CANAVERAL, Fla. – The passengers aboard a Carnival cruise ship that had just left Port Canaveral did not have any good things to say about their holidays when they returned to Florida on Friday morning.
They were very scared when the ship suddenly began to rock.
"It was terrifying, and then we went down the hall and this guy was hyperventilating," said one passenger. "And this lady, her head was cut off, her foot was cut off, people had stitches."

The ship had just left Port Canaveral for a five-day trip to the Caribbean when Carnival said an electrical control board had malfunctioned Sunday night, impacting the fin stabilizers.
The video of the passengers shows dishes scattered on the ground as the ship began to list.
"We went down to our rooms and took our lifejackets and wore them for the rest of the night," said Porcha Moore. "We slept with them in our bed.That's how scary we were."
Tony and Kyla Williams, who live in the Atlanta area, were on board when this happened. They said they participated in many cruises, but none are like this.
"It was really the boat that rolled to the side and everything was falling," said Kyla Williams. "It was just something you will never forget."
Carnival said the list lasted about a minute before it was corrected and that the ship was continuing its journey.

In an email, the cruise company told Channel 9 that the ship's wing stabilizers "are not a safety feature; they are deployed solely for the comfort of guests to minimize any potential movement of the ship at sea. The safety of the ship was never a problem and our officers quickly intervened to remedy the situation. "

The Williamse said they were so upset that they decided to stop the trip on the third day. The carnival paid for them to go home and paid off their cruise, the couple said.
Carnival also apologized to his passengers.
The ship returned to Port Canaveral on Friday morning.
