It's been more than 40 years since Brady's group finished, but the show retains special memories for its casting.
Barry Williams (Greg), Maureen McCormick (Marcia), Christopher Knight (Peter), Eve Plumb (Jan), Mike Lookinland (Bobby) and Susan Olsen (Cindy) met for the first time in almost 15 years, on Thursday. as long as HGTV. started renovations on the iconic Brady Bunch House.
The house, located to the north of Hollywood, served as the exterior of Brady's house. The series, which ran from 1969 to 1974, shot scenes inside Brady's home on a Burbank soundscape, but the house still retains many memories for the cast.
Purchased for only $ 61,000 in 1973, the house recently returned to the market for $ 1.885 million – and McCormick was one of the few people willing to buy it. "I feel that no one could love her as much as I could just because of the memories," she told ET. "When we went up in the series, we huddled … and so we would like to flirt there, it was our time to Brady."
McCormick, who wrote about his adventure with Williams in his 2008 memoir, ended up not buying the house. Lance Bass either, who was open to his desire to turn it into a Brady sanctuary. The network plans to add 2,000 square feet to the home's original footprint. The new series will be released in September 2019. Next year will also mark the fiftieth anniversary of Brady's group First, and you can understand, the Brady kids felt a little nostalgic.
Marcia gets hit with a soccer ball just before her big date with Doug Simpson will certainly stay in Brady fans' minds as one of the most iconic moments of the series and it's still fresh in the McCormick's mind. It's another scene that's his favorite, though.
"I liked doing wherever we go with Florence [Henderson], "she said about the late matriarch Brady. It was so much fun for me and we had a lot of fun. "
"I like the backyard scene in the very last episode where Tiger was chasing Fluffy the cat," Williams said of his favorite memory. "The cake fell on Mike's face … which, for me, set the tone for the whole show."
Lookinland had another memory in mind. "When Bobby put the whole box of laundry soap in the washing machine, mainly because I had to undress, basically, to strip myself, and I was horrified."
"The worst was Shirley Temple," said Olsen. "It was really embarrassing."
"It would have been really cute when I was seven, but when I was 12 years old, [I was] I feel so stupid, she confessed.
While Brady children shared their favorite memories, they could not help but recognize that they lacked a few of them – including Henderson, Robert Reed and Ann B. Davis. "They are all together and I just think they're smiling at us," McCormick said.
