The Celtics beat the Thunder without a win 101-95

OKLAHOMA CITY – Jayson Tatum scored 24 points and the Boston Celtics, who had racked up 16 points at halftime, beat Oklahoma City Thunder 101-95 without a win Thursday night.

Marcus Morris added 21 points, Al Horford had 19 and Kyrie Irving 15.

Paul George scored 22 points for Oklahoma City, but shot 7 out of 22. Russell Westbrook had 13 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists, but scored 5 for 20. The Thunder and Cleveland Cavaliers are the only ones winless teams from the NBA.

Morris hit a pointer 3 seconds from the end to give the Celtics a lead of 98-95, and they held on.

Oklahoma City led 50-34 at halftime. Boston only shot 32% in the first period and missed 11 of his 3 attempts.

TRAIL BLAZERS 128, MAGIC 114

ORLANDO, Fla. – Damian Lillard scored 34 of his 41 points in the second half to help Portland beat Orlando.

CJ McCollum added 22 points and Jusuf Nurkic got 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Nikola Vucevic led Orlando with 24 points and 11 rebounds. Terrence Ross had 21 points.

Lillard and McCollum resumed the game with 7:54 remaining after Orlando reduced the deficit by 13 points to three, 102-99, on Gordon's second pointer of the quarter. The guards combined 22 points on Portland's last 26 points to seal the win. Lillard had 19 points in the third quarter.

PISTONS 110, RIDERS 103

DETROIT – Andre Drummond has 26 points and 22 rebounds. Detroit improved to 4-0 and dropped to Cleveland for the first time since 2003-04 – while LeBron James was a rookie.

Blake Griffin scored 26 points in his first game since a 50-point night against Philadelphia on Tuesday. Reggie Jackson added 16 points.

Kyle Korver led Cleveland with 21 points. Kevin Love missed the match because of a left foot ache.
