The censors of the Chinese game site Winnie the Pooh in Kingdom Hearts III

When the Chinese game site A9VG recently covered Kingdom Hearts IIIhe decided to delete one thing: Winnie the Pooh.

Chinese leader Xi Jinping has been repeatedly compared to Winnie the Pooh, which has led to a crackdown of the character on Chinese social media.

More recently, the film Christopher Robin has been banned in China. according to The Hollywood Reporter, no official reason was given, but one source claimed that it was due to Winnie the Pooh comparisons.

Other Chinese game sites displayed images of the character (screen shot below). A9VG was on the side more cautious for social media.

A9VG, however, has a picture of the teddy bear on his website.

Just like the site Sohu.com.

Other sites, however, did not include any image of the character.

A Chinese version of Kingdom Hearts III is in development. It is not known yet whether Winnie the Pooh will appear in the game or not.
