The forecast rainy weather caused a headache at the Corpus Christi City Fireworks Show.

The City of Corpus Christi first stated that it did not intend to cancel the pyrotechnic show at the Big Bang Celebration, but announced later that It would be moved until 8:30 pm, about 10 minutes before new start time. The city also canceled the Light Bridge Harbor Show, which was to be synchronized with several local radio stations.
