LONDON (AP) – Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, described how she had worked with Givenchy's creator Clare Waight Keller to create a "timeless" wedding gown for her marriage to Prince Harry earlier this year.

Harry and former Meghan Markle recorded their wedding memories for an audio commentary that is part of the new Exhibition "Relive the Royal Wedding" at Windsor Castle, which opened Friday.

The five meter long dress and veil that Meghan wore with her will be the main attraction of the 10 weeks of display.

In the audio recording, the former actress said that she had a clear idea of what she wanted to wear from the beginning.

"I knew at first that I wanted a boat neckline, a short sleeve, a very timeless and classic feeling," she said.

The dress was also expected to be modest for the May 19 wedding in a chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle, she said.

"Planning our wedding has been extremely detailed," said Meghan, pregnant with the couple's first child.

"I think for us, we knew how much the event would be of such magnitude, therefore, if you make really personal and meaningful choices, the experience can be intimate, even if it is "It was a very big wedding," said the Duchess said.

Meghan described the "incredibly surreal day" when she and her fiancé visited Queen Elizabeth II, Harry's grandmother, to choose a tiara to wear during the wedding ceremony. She has chosen Queen Mary's platinum and diamond band tiara from the Queen's unrivaled collection. It is presented in the new exhibition.

For his part, Harry said that he was "very kind" from his grandmother to lend his future wife the priceless helmet.

Harry's wedding attire, including the distinctive underwear uniform crafted by the tailors of Savile Row, is also on display.
