The Eagles count: the star of the game is back Josh Adams

Just 20 days after the Eagles escaped, cornerback Cre Von LeBlanc scored points 3 and 4 of the Eagles' 11-yard line in the fourth quarter of a three-point game Sunday. and took a look at the line of scrimmage. see Odell Beckham Jr. watch it.

OBJ vs. Cre'Von LeBlanc. On an island. Game and season on the line.

"I think everyone in the stadium knew where this ball was going," said Malcolm Jenkins.

Everyone in the stadium was right.

But things did not go as planned. Beckham held a position and LeBlanc – perhaps with a jack or two that were lost – was able to force a huge mistake to keep the Giants out of the end zone. A field goal tied the match, but the Eagles won 25-22 in the next possession.

What went through LeBlanc's head when he lined up on Beckham for this piece?

For me, it's a dream come true. He is the highest paid receiver in the league. It's Odell. Everyone knows what type of receiver it is. He is really phenomenal and clever in what he does; hat to him. For me, just trust my technique. I know what type of player I am. I do not fear anyone. I do not fear any man. At the end of the day, he put on his pants too, and we're going to play ball.

LeBlanc, 24, was only one of three high school newcomers that the Eagles presented on Sunday out of necessity. Without Ronald Darby, Jalen Mills, Sidney Jones, Avonte Maddox and Rasul Douglas, still injured, the Eagles rely on a trio of cornerbacks who have been part of the team for a month or less.

Chandon Sullivan, who joined the team on Oct. 25, and De'Vante Bausby, promoted from the coaching squad on Nov. 17, both started out. LeBlanc started the match as a nickel cornerback.

The trio did not play a perfect match. Errors were made and the games were abandoned.

But Eli Manning did not roast this high school. OBJ and Sterling Shepard have not been released. This group of young and relatively inexperienced semi-turns stood out.

"They held up. They fought, "said Doug Pederson. "Nothing is easy, nothing is pretty, you just have to fight and scratch and get the job done, they've done it today, Proud of these guys."

At the end of the day, Manning had 297 yards and Beckham had five passes for 85 yards, but the Eagles would accept. If you're wondering why the Giants have not made more concerted efforts to target the young cornerback Eagles, you're not the only one.

Jenkins said the Eagles did not cover their covers a lot to help Sullivan, Bausby or LeBlanc, which is what Bausby said about the coaching staff. Throughout the week, he said, the coaching staff treated them as if they were Mills and Darby – the usual beginners – ready to play.

"They have not changed anything," Bausby said. "They believe and it's really good for us. You have to go and do what you have to do.

Even though the Eagles won Sunday, their situation at the corner did not improve as if by magic. In fact, Sullivan was injured during the match, which caused a disgruntled smile at Jenkins when he referred to it in his locker.

But if the Eagles need to ride with these young guys for a while, they will at least have a decent Sunday experience.

"They will continue to get better next week," Jenkins said. "It's a race to get them just 1% better than they were this weekend."
