As hosts of Fox and friends talked about Trump's economic prosperity this morning, Pete Hegseth stated that Democrats clearly did not want to talk about economics because of the quality of their work.
He criticized the former president Barack Obama to try to take the credit but Ed Henry intervened and said, "You have read the numbers, I am sure of it. Barack Obama has created more jobs in his last 21 months than President Trump has created 21. "
Henry added, "I'm not saying that this president inherited it, but do you recognize that he's been given a better economy than Barack Obama's?"
Hegseth replied, "Here is what I will recognize. Four million new jobs, more than four million fewer people on food stamps. For me, this is a reflection of a president who puts business and the private sector ahead of government bailouts and bailouts. "
Henry said, "We gave him a good economy and made it better."
Later in the show, the animators talked with Fox Business Stuart Varney, who said America had "returned to prosperity" under Trump.
After Varney praised Trump's economy, Henry at first joked about the fact that Hegseth was "triggered" every time he heard something positive about Obama before saying this:
"When Barack Obama came to power, he lost 600,700,000 jobs a month. We were in free fall, is not it? … At the end of his tenure, during his last 21 months he has created more jobs than President Trump has. created during its first 21 months. "
Katie Pavlich asked: "Do you mean that he started that?"
