ATLANTA – Authorities say that the ex-boyfriend and father of the son of "Growing Up Hip Hop" star, Angela Simmons, was killed in Atlanta.
Simmons is the daughter of Joseph Simmons, legend of rap, better known as Rev. Run and the niece of record producer Russell Simmons.
Police said in a statement that a man had been shot several times Saturday afternoon after an argument with another man in a southwestern Atlanta home.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's office identified the victim as 37-year-old Sutton Tennyson.
Simmons went to Instagram on Sunday to offer his condolences to Tennyson and thank him for his "best gift". She posted a picture of her old boyfriend holding their son.
"I'm hurt, I'm numb, thank you for the love spill everyone," she wrote in the caption. "I can not believe I'm even saying Rest In Peace Sutton, I promise to hold SJ in every way I promise."

Police said that the man who shot Tennyson had spun on the ground and that no arrest had been made.
