The family of a woman found dead aboard a Princess Cruises ship last week said she had reservations about her leaving and that she was worried that something would happen .

"My mother did not want to do this cruise," said Andrea Smith to ABC "Hello America"Tuesday, about his mother, Almarosa Tenorio, died November 13 aboard the Royal Princess while he was sailing in the Caribbean.

"She knew something was going to happen," Smith said, claiming that Almarosa, 52, was "hesitant" about this trip.

A spokeswoman for Princess Cruises told NBC News that the ship had left Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 9 for Aruba. The ship, christened Royal Princess, returned to Florida this weekend.

Timothy Tenorio, the son of Almarosa, said the night before his mother's departure for the cruise that she had hugged her "for a good five minutes" and told her that this might be the last in his arms.

"I can not concentrate, it's like my rock was gone, it's just very painful for me, I try to do my best, it's very hard for me, "he said. "I try to stay strong, however, I have the impression that my strength is no longer all the way."

Almarosa was cruising with her husband, Leo Tenorio. Smith told "Good Morning America" ​​that Leo had declared that the cruise was a chance for him and Almarosa to work on their relationship.

After the death of Almarosa, Leo descended from the ship in Aruba and cooperated with the investigation, Princess Cruises announced in a statement released last week. It was not clear when he had since returned to the United States.

The cause of Almarosa's death has not been revealed.
