The lawyer of a man accused of burning his house with his wife and two daughters in Ocean Township said that his family was at his side.

Paul J. Caneiro, 51, the tech company's CEO brother found dead Tuesday with his family in his flamboyant Colts Neck home, was charged with arson in the same day's fire at Ocean Township.

Honecker said Wednesday that Caneiro maintained his innocence.

"The accusation does not seem to make sense, as there seems to be very little evidence of a reason for doing so," Honecker said. "The evidence I've seen does not suggest any reason for the arson of his home."

On Friday, he added: "The family supports him and does not believe that there is any intention to harm them."
