Sunday night, more than eight million Britons listened to Jodie Whittaker's first appearance as a new doctor.
And judging by the reaction on Twitter, everyone seemed to like it.

After months and months of "the doctor should only be one man", the rubbish of the opponents – their incessant moans and their negativity immediately turned out to be nonsense irrelevant. Jodie nailed the character in seconds.
