Former The finalist of "The Voice" Beverly McClellan has died of cancer. She was 49 years old.
McClellan, who participated in the first season of the NBC series in 2011, died Thursday afternoon, confirmed her close friend and musical partner Robyn Fear to the USA TODAY network.
In March, a stage 3 endometrial cancer was spread to the bladder, colon and intestines, revealed to McClellan, according to a GoFundMe page created to combat his medical costs.

Fans fell in love with McClellan in "The Voice" after his melancholy rendition of "Coin of my heart" by Janis Joplin during blind auditions, which forced Christina Aguilera and Adam Levine to turn their chair. In the end, McClellan joined the Christina team and placed in the top four.
USA TODAY has contacted the representatives of Aguilera for comments.
During his singing competition, McClellan sang "Baba O & # 39; Reilly", "I'm the only one" and "The Thrill Is Gone". She also sang "Beautiful", a duet with Aguilera. Competitor Javier Colon won the show.

Nakia Reynoso, who competed with McClellan in Season 1, went to Twitter to convey her condolences.
"I'm absolutely sorry, my dear friend and colleague S1 @NBCTheVoice alum, @beverlyshane is dead," he tweeted on Tuesday. "Really a unique soul with a beautiful heart, full of passion and incredible talent."
