FLAGSTAFF, Arizona – North Arizona is waking up under a new layer of snow on Sunday morning.
Snowbowl says it will be closed Sunday due to the heavy snow cover at Flagstaff. The station has reported six inches of snow in some areas, saying that a total forecast of 15 inches is expected until Monday.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Department of Transportation warns drivers of slippery conditions and ice on some highways, including National Highways 89A and 87.

Throughout the evening, the Flagstaff National Weather Service is forecasting showers and thunderstorms in the area on Sunday afternoons and evenings.
