The Flyers made a new addition Monday and it's not a goalkeeper.
Meet "Gritty", the mascot of the team that was presented at the Hamilton Hall of the Please Touch Museum.
If "Gritty" is not your new best friend, you do not understand the friendship.
Like, look at this bud …

"Gritty" marks the second mascot in the team's history, after "Slapshot".
"Gritty" has excellent features. The eyes are really catching you, the beard is shaped like a play-off and he seems to be doing a hip test.
Jakub Voracek was a little impressed at first.
"I was looking in the mirror," Voracek said on Saturday to Taryn Hatcher of NBC Sports Philadelphia.
"Jake in April or March with long hair and a long beard."
As Voracek said, the mascots are great.
Welcome to Philadelphia, "Gritty". We look forward to seeing you at the Wells Fargo Center. You will feel good, especially if you shout "SHOOOOOOOOT!" when Claude Giroux has the puck on the power play.
Get to know "Gritty" plus (and its social media accounts) on the official Flyers website.

"Gritty" joins an impressive group of Philadelphia mascots, highlighted by Soul Man (I'm kidding, the Phillie Phanatic clearly leads these mascot brothers):
• Phillie Phanatic (Phillies)
• Gritty (Flyers)
• Swoop (Eagles)
• Franklin (Sixers)
• Phang (Union)
• Soul Man (Soul)
