[Ariana] was an incredibly stabilizing force in her life and she was deeply helpful and effective at keeping Mac sober and helping her become sober. She was all about him in good health. Period."

Prior to his death, Miller was arrested and later charged with two counts of impaired driving in August, following an arrest in May in Los Angeles, California. A spokesman for the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office told ET on Monday that the case should now be closed.

"Generally, when our accused has died while a criminal case is pending, our office will take steps to remove the case from the court's schedule and then file a motion to dismiss the case in the interest of the court. justice, "said the spokesman. . "The motion in the Miller case has not yet been filed, but I think the office will take these steps in the coming days."

A source also told ET that the native of Boca Raton, Florida, is "devastated" by the death of his ex.
