The Georgia State coach tore his biceps after celebrating a TD in a loss against NC State

Getting hurt while celebrating is always embarrassing, but it's even more embarrassing when you're head coach. And it's even MORE embarrassing that you are a coach who celebrates your team's only score in a loss.

More college football

Georgia State coach Shawn Elliott will be stabbed next week after tearing his biceps while celebrating the first quarter Panthers touchdown against NC State on Saturday. In Elliott 's defense, it was a good start for Georgia State and he was caught watching his team take 7-0 over Wolfpack. No problem with that!

Unfortunately, he hit so hard that his arm almost exploded.

Aggressively aggressive to the point of self-destruction seems exponentially less cool in the face of reality as NC State proceeded to hang 41 unanswered points on the Panthers. Celebrate your limbs during a blast … not ideal. Although I guess it's best when you consider that the state of Georgia actually took the lead at the time of the injury.

In any case, Elliott will undergo surgery to repair the injury next week, but that will not prevent him from playing for the Panthers game against Memphis this Friday. Someone should probably consider giving him a sedative, especially if the state of Georgia is planning a decent offensive effort.
