Police opened an investigation after a Republican headquarters in Volusia County, Florida was riddled with bullets last weekend, party officials said.

At least four shots were fired in the night from Sunday to Sunday, Fox News, the Republican president of Volusia County, told Fox News on Monday.

Ledbetter said "everything was fine" when the volunteers left the building around 4 pm Sunday, but when they came back at 9:30 on Monday, at least one window was broken.

The president said that he thought it was "more than likely a shooting." The Daytona Police Department did not immediately respond to Fox News's requests for comments on the incident Monday afternoon.
