Harley-Davidson is making a lot of noise about developing electric motorcycles while he's looking for a new lease on life, and his future seems to depend on the success of the upcoming Harley-Davidson Livewire. The good news is that the production version is as beautiful as the concept. The bad news is that they have not revealed anything yet.
Harley introduced the production ready bike at the EICMA motorcycle show in Italy, showing pretty much exactly what we saw with the 2014 concept.
The novelty here is the confirmation of 300mm front rotors associated with Brembo calipers. The Livewire will also feature seven driving modes tuned with an adjustable suspension Showa, a long-time Harley supplier that also supplies this material to high-end motorcycles from Japanese companies, as Roadshow points out.
The company also plans to offer tier-2 chargers to resellers who sell its e-bikes, and the Livewire will mark the beginning of a full line of e-bikes by 2022 when it is released in 2019.
We still do not have performance data or pricing information, but orders start in January.
