In anticipation of his first match as head coach of Florida State, Willie Taggart said the honeymoon phase was over.

He did not know how true it was going to be.

Taggart did everything right out of season.

He brought back Bobby Bowden. He brought back the old players. He began repairing a fractured football program. He brought in the players and the fans.

After two games, much of the goodwill he gained was gone.

The FSU looked awful in its first game of the season against a Virginia Tech team on Monday night, and then followed that performance by worsening Saturday against his opponent, Samford.

The Seminoles could not pass the ball behind a porous offensive line, they could not stop Samford Devlin Hodges' quarterback, and Ricky Aguayo could not make any goals and he is now 1-for-4 to start the season .
