The marquees of the legendary Las Vegas Strip will fall asleep Monday night to mark the first anniversary of the murder of a gunman who killed 58 people at an outdoor country music festival.

The solemn event is one of many planned events to mark the deadliest shooting in US history, in which more than 400 people were injured by bullets fired from a hotel room. of great height. Hundreds of others were injured while fleeing the chaotic scene.

Thousands of music fans gathered on the Strip to attend the Route 91 festival, listening to Jason Aldean finish the night show. Stephen Paddock was locked in a room on the 32nd floor of Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
