WASHINGTON – Julia Louis-Dreyfus receives the 21st Annual Mark Twain Award from American Humor for an iconic career in comedy (local time):

Colbert says on stage, "I honestly believe she is the funniest person on TV. And I say it as someone who is on television right now. "
Colbert also discussed the center's decision to cancel Bill Cosby's 2009 Mark Twain Award, which was convicted of sexual assault earlier this year. A Pennsylvania judge sentenced Cosby to three to ten years in prison. He is looking for a new trial.
Colbert posted a sign saying "167 days since the last un-Twaining".
