The Late Show's Brett Kavanaugh / UB40 mash-up is the scary song of the season

The current story of the Supreme Court candidate and the alleged rapist, Brett Kavanaugh, is a bit like a big angry octopus: no matter how much you think you have it under control, you're always ready to withdraw from whatever share and hit you ass. Like, say, the news – which broke out this weekend – that Kavanaugh has already had a fight after a UB40 gig, as he and his friends thought that another guy at the bar was Ali Campbell, aka " The guy from UB40. " another data point – for those who need it – in the big chart of why Brett Kavanaugh probably should not appear before the Supreme Court, it's also a totally strange anecdote, all the more so that it is the best press that the British reggae-pop held probably had in the years.

Especially now that they have (somehow) been able to air on a national network talk show, courtesy of The end of the show with Stephen Colbert. Inspired by Kavanaugh's temperament – and by his fondness for beer – the Colbert team summed up his testimony with one of the band's biggest hits, "Red, Red Wine". It's even eye-catching, at least up to our extremely limited tolerance as Kavanaugh's swear words begin to please us.
