The launch of SpaceX dazzles Californians and their return on Vandenberg

LOMPOC, Calif. – The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket was launched on Sunday night with the SAOCOM satellite of Argentina.

The mission was a success as it took off in the space where the rocket propelled the satellite and then returned to land at Vandenberg Air Force Base.

The mission was made possible by Elon Musk, a pioneer of private space exploration. He created SpaceX, where he oversees the development and manufacture of rockets and spacecraft for missions in space.

What made this mission important was the first time the rocket was trying to land ashore. Many spectators came from far and near to attend the launch.

"We are big fans of Ellon Musk and SpaceX and have discovered this particularly special launch because the rocket has returned to the ground," said Greg Bourque.

The rocket is composed of two sections; a section that launches with the satellite and the other that lands on a predetermined marker. A Tesla employee who came to see the launch was a significant step forward for the company.

"It's a big application because it's basically where they take this huge rocket and propeller to shoot it, balance it and put it very dangerously," said Ayush Sexena.

The launch of the rocket produced a deep piercing roar that could be heard across the central coast and surrounding areas and produced a bright orange glow that illuminated the night sky.
