The local executive is turning pink to raise money for breast cancer research

Tom Flookes, a local IBM executive and co-chair of the American Cancer Society Advisory Board, is currently ranked second in the country for funds raised for the Real Men Wear Pink campaign.

That's why the American Cancer Society has recruited men to fight breast cancer with Real Men Wear Pink. Flookes is part of a distinguished group of community leaders committed to raising awareness and fundraising to support the mission of the American Cancer Society and save more lives than ever before from breast cancer.

"It's a topic of conversation," Flookes said of the heads that turn to look. "We are losing 1,600 people each day because of cancer and it's a problem that's calling for help. I want to help. "
