A 22-year-old man was hospitalized after being accidentally shot at a Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in Tacoma.

Filming took place around 5:20 pm in the restaurant of 4911 Tacoma Mall Blvd.

"A group of people start running towards the end and they said that someone had a gun, so everyone starts running," Nick Jones said.

Jones rushed to find his 4 year old son, Owen. Father and son were at the restaurant to celebrate the birthday of a niece.

Nick's father, Larry Jones, said that he had tried to help the man who had shot at him.

"Then we realized that it was a shot, and then people started to panic."

Tacoma police said that the man was shot in the leg and that no one else in the restaurant had been injured.

Some parents here are worried and angry that the man took his gun from a restaurant that welcomes the children and clearly asks the customers to keep the firearms.

The man had a concealed transport permit, so he was carrying the gun legally, the police said. The only recourse that the restaurant can have is a civil suit.
