The Mega Millions jackpot jumped to $ 1.6 billion, a new world record, after there were no winners in the Friday night draw. The cash option is estimated at nearly $ 905 million.

The Mega Millions jackpot for the Friday night draw was $ 1 billion, the largest in game history and the second-largest jackpot in US history.

There were four second place winners in the state of New York, who each won a million dollars.

On Wednesday, no one touched the Powerball jackpot, valued at $ 345 million. The winning numbers were 3, 64, 69, 68 and 57, and the Powerball, 15.

Saturday's powerball jackpot draw has now reached $ 470 million.
