It's more than a revenge tour.

The Michigan football team plays a crazy and aggressive role, determined and relentless.

The Wolverines do not just want to play, they want to demolish.

They do not just want to win – they want to decimate, what Michigan did on Saturday, Penn State routing, 42-7, in the big house.

A revenge tour? This could be under selling.

The Wolverines want to crush you and your family and everything in their path.

Wolverines seem to improve each week. They become more mean – in a good way. Their confidence and their momentum are growing.

Most importantly, wolverines are healthier. The two players who were injured, defensive back Rashan Gary and wide receiver Tarik Black, returned for the Wolverines.

Neither of them had a big impact in this game (Black had a penalty shot for TD), but it's like a baseball team gets two All-Stars at the trade deadline.

Think about it.

The highest-ranked defenseman in the country has added Gary, a pre-season American injured before the Notre Dame game and missing the last three games.

And this versatile attack has just added Black, a formidable threat to the wide who was the best receivers of Michigan in the first games of last season.

It's almost an embarrassment of wealth.

The Wolverines have excellent defense, exalted confidence, undeniable momentum, a nasty disposition, and a full panoply of offensive weapons – solid play, talented tails, impressive wide receivers and a mobile quarterback.

This team has improved so much and plays so well that it's time to adjust expectations.

After the way Ohio State played (including Saturday's nail-biting win against Nebraska), Michigan is clearly the favorite to win the Big Ten Conference. Nothing less would be a massive disappointment.

Nothing less than a trip to the college football playoffs would be a great opportunity.

It's more than safe to think about it.

It should be waiting now.

This is an attitude

This team plays with such a nasty advantage.

Full of emotion and attitude.

There was Donovan Peoples-Jones, doing a mad TD dance, imitating Saquon Barkley, who had done the same thing a year ago for Penn State.

It was as if the wolverines were saying, "Yes, we remember what you did last year. And now we will do the same to you. "

A year ago, Penn State scored 42 points, rushed for 506 yards, converted 57.1% of the third tries and six games over 20 yards.

The Penn State match haunted Michigan defensive coordinator Don Brown.

It was personal.

And that's how the Wolverines played.

Michigan came out and set the tone from the start. Get bags. Force the turnovers. Mark at will.

The Wolverines were playing at such a high level and wanted to dominate so badly that the Wolverines seemed angry just as Penn State was playing a positive role.

A first descent?

They seemed to get angry. And play harder, if it's still possible.

Injuries helped. here's how

Strangely, Black's injury allowed a pair of players to flourish in his absence.

While Black is out, Peoples-Jones has developed and reached a new level.
Peoples-Jones did not catch TD last year, but he was there on Saturday and clinched a magnificent TD – his seventh seed of the season.

And Nico Collins only took three passes last year. But he entered the Penn State game as the third receiver of the team.

Still, it was not a perfect match for the Wolverines.

They left points on the board. And that's the really scary part.

This team can go even better.
