The mother accused her death after being left in a hot car …

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – A Central Florida mother faces charges after the death of her one year old daughter inside a hot car, authorities said.

Kailyn Pollard, 29, of Sorrento, was charged with negligent manslaughter Friday night after being summoned for questioning over the girl's death.

The girl, Kit Noelle Pollard, was found at 16:40. according to the Seminole County Fire Department, at a Sanford Wawa location on National Highway 46. Officials said that she showed no vital signs and was declared dead of 39, cardiac arrest.

According to Pollard's arrest report, Kit would have been left in the car from 9 am to 4 pm. while Pollard was at work at iQ Power. The report states that Pollard, who would normally drop her daughter in a local daycare, did not do so on Friday.

The authorities said that Pollard had told them that she had not noticed her daughter 's body until she had returned to her car after work, to go to a backyard garden. Olive trees nearby to fetch food, then stop in Wawa to refuel. Around 16:30, Pollard "finally realized that his daughter was
in the back seat "when she went out to put gas in the car, according to the report.

It is not known if Pollard intended to go through his daughter's daycare too.

In the report, the arresting officer stated that the car seat, located just behind the driver's side, was facing the back. The MP also described a small mirror on the headrest located at the front of the car seat, which could be used "for a direct visual connection with the driver and driver of the car seat via a rearview mirror" .

Pollard was taken to the Central Florida Regional Hospital because of extreme anxiety, MPs said. They said that she was not cooperative with the investigation and asked for a lawyer.

Sanford experienced record temperatures on Friday. The maximum temperature was 96 degrees, two degrees higher than the previous record on that date, according to the Melbourne National Weather Service. Kit's death is the second victim of the fatal car announced Friday in central Florida, the first being a 4-year-old from Orange County.

Pollard's attorney, Kyle Fletcher, has had no comments after his initial appearance on Saturday. The baby's father and grandfather were also in court. They had nothing to say as they were coming out of jail.

Pollard is being held at the John E. Polk Correctional Facility on a $ 20,000 bail. His next court appearance is scheduled for October 23rd.
