The MTA has figured out how to make the New York subways even more horrible

The very idea that the New York City Police Department and the Metropolitan Transportation Authority are joining forces to produce a "haunted subway" seems so terribly absurd that it may have already worked: Union Square, Union Square, for two days, Thursday, October 19 and Friday, October 20, Metro users and some of their extremely frightened children were so distracted by a man dressed as a clown HE and a zombie policeman with a half-face that they may have momentarily forgotten the sad state of their city's ruined infrastructure. According to Gothamist, the special activity agents designed the starting principle (for children, and not as a distraction from reality), and with money from sponsors, about thirty actors disguised as monsters or maniacs Chainsaws were scary to anyone who decided to take a minute of walk in a tunnel near the entrance to 15th Street. For the evenings back to back, from 4pm to 7pm, the Hare Krishnas and the costumed men who shouted: "Hold the door" are gone. They were replaced by a werewolf chained to a barricade and a policeman under blanket carrying a bloody Dexter-sque plastic apron.

This was quite reminiscent of a set of Guillermo del Toro, although if the MTA really wanted to be smart here (would any of the employees have read Freud's theory of the "mysterious"?), They might have missed a real opportunity. Imagine for a moment the ghost of the only computer scientist able to restart the card sales system. Or the new president of the MTA, a hapless detective unable to overcome the horrors of the past. Or a king of rats stealing pizza from the passengers.

Nevertheless, despite the creative failures, the photographer Victor Llorente has returned Friday night in a vacuum. You will find below some of the pictures that he has taken.
