CW Arrowverse fans have known for some time that Batwoman is coming, but tonight Arrow we had our very first look at it in action in a brand new promotion for the next crossover event, "Elseworlds".

In the promotion, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Barry (Grant Gustin) – in a Green Arrow outfit being part of the crossover, will feature Barry and Oliver (Stephen Amell) – intersecting with someone who's not definitely not the "urban legend". Rose will make her first appearance during the second hour of the upcoming "Elseworlds" crossover in the episode Arrow of the event. In this episode, Oliver (Stephen Amell), Barry (Grant Gustin) and Kara (Melissa Benoist) all travel to Gotham City to find the Arkham Asylum Doctor, John Deegan (Jeremy Davies).

"It's a strange feeling to wear a suit like this that's been custom-made, knowing that it's going to turn you into a character who does incredible things," Rose told EW. "You feel very strong and it instantly changes everything you feel right now."

Rose then explained how much it meant to her to play Batwoman, an openly gay superhero.

"The fact that she's a gay superhero, which I would have loved to see growing up on TV, was a determining factor for why I'm so passionate about this role," she said. . "This [role] just meant a lot more to me because I could tell many different ways and, at the same time, I had the impression that it was a job that would give me a goal every day by coming to- Beyond the simple fact of living my dream, which is to act, and would be much more rewarding than anything I've done in the past.
