The new Rolls Royce Phantom by Kim Jong Un, a slap face Trump administrator

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un once again mocked US policy towards Pyongyang during his meeting with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, this time in a decidedly flashy style.

When Pompeo arrived in North Korea in July to follow Kim after President Donald Trump's historic summit in Singapore, he dropped the top American diplomat.

Pompeo promised a meeting with Kim in July, but no such meeting took place. The photos showed instead Kim visiting a potato farm.

This time, during Pompeo's visit in early October, Kim was introduced and the two men seemed friendly when the leader arrived and shook hands with Pompeo.

But Kim had just released a new look, Rolls Royce Phantom. The big "R" emblem on the big chrome rim had an undeniable image before Pompeo.

Rolls Royce is, of course, a British manufacturer of luxury cars and North Korea remains under heavy US sanctions formally prohibiting the sale of luxury goods in the country.

At the June summit, Kim was seen in a Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Guard armored limousine flanked by foot safety.

The Trump administration said it had made good progress in the denuclearization of North Korea despite the lack of verifiable measures in this regard. An essential point in the defense of North Korean diplomacy by the administration is that the sanctions remain in force and that the Kim regime continues the negotiations on the demilitarization with South Korea.

But more and more North Korean ships have been spotted in foreign ports, which UN sanctions prohibit. China and Russia have reportedly increased trade with the country since the summit and South Korea has begun to provide more aid and consider the removal of sanctions.

By showing up in a new Rolls Royce, Kim managed to make fun of Pompeo and Trump administration attempts to isolate North Korea.
