The full name of the movie Birds of Prey by Warner Bros. Pictures is as wild as the DC universe gets: Birds of Prey (And the fantastic emancipation of a certain Harley Quinn).
On Tuesday, Margot Robbie, actress of Harley Quinn, released an image of the final scenario of the film on her Instagram account, revealing the expected result "Birds of prey. "But under the simple title, there was a long handwritten parenthesis – and a lipstick kiss.
This could easily be read as a blunder – but the Hollywood Reporter confirmed it was the full official title. It's long, but it's a character perfectly suited to Harley Quinn.
The official Twitter account of Warner Bros. Pictures also shared the news.
Alongside the eponymous antiheroine cheerfully disturbed, Birds of Prey (and the fantastic emancipation of Harley Quinn) Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Fargo) as the vigilante of the huntress; Jurnee Smollett-Bell (The big debaters) as a Black Canary superheroine; and Rosie Perez (Express pineapple) as a police detective from Gotham City, Renee Montoya.
It has recently been announced that Ewan McGregor would assume the role of antagonist as Black Mask mafia king. Newcomer Ella Jay Basco will play Cassandra Cain, the justice woman sometimes known as Batgirl or Orphan. The film is written by Christina Hodson, as seen above (bumblebee, the next Bat girl) and directed by Cathy Yan (Dead pigs).
