The Portland Trail Blazers added another quality win to their season-opening resume Thursday night, beating the Los Angeles Clippers 116-105 for their eighth double-digit victory in 12 games.
Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum combined 48 points and the Blazers, winners of six of their last seven games, beat the Clippers (6-5) for a fourth straight game.
Portland improved to 9-3 in the season and 4-1 in the home defeat.
GREAT PERFORMANCE
Lillard led the Blazers with a record of 25 points on 11 of 25 shots and 3 of 7 at three points, adding four points and four rebounds. McCollum, who recorded a record 40 points on Tuesday, scored 23 points and seven rebounds.
Jusuf Nurkic nearly scored a double-double with 16 points and nine rebounds, but failed late in the fourth quarter. Nurkic also had three matches at its highest level.
Al-Farouq Aminu finished with 11 points and eight rebounds and Zach Collins had 10 points and nine rebounds in 27 minutes on the bench.
Evan Turner scored seven points and seven assists and Meyers Leonard had seven points and five rebounds in 12 minutes.
The Clippers were led by 20 points each from Danilo Gallinari and Lou Williams.
Clippers' rookie Shai Gilgeous-Alexander posted a career-high 19 points and Tobias Harris recorded his second straight double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Showzl Harrell also had 19 for Los Angeles.

The Blazers failed to match their season-high free throws (28) on Thursday night, 26 out of 28 in the charity category. The parade to the line was a stark contrast to Tuesday's tense three-point deal against the Milwaukee Bucks, in which Portland was trying to get eight free throws, a low game of the season. And while the Blazers lived on the starting line on Thursday, they did it without their best free-throw shooter at Lillard – who took sixth place in percentage (93.8), fourth in attempts (81) and third in free throws (76) – even when recording a single attempt.
