Marvel's Spider-Man is an exaggerated cinematic journey from start to finish. The game took our breath away and each chapter had another big twist or a surprising moment we were not expecting. Like any other Marvel adventure that is worth its salt (or salty popcorn), Marvel's Spider-Man contains a post-credit scene. In fact, we get two post-credit scenes in this game, and they both set up huge moments and an inevitable sequel. If you do not mind spoiling yourself, you can watch them below:
Crazy, no ?! In the first clip, Miles Morales approaches Peter Parker with physical abnormalities he suffers. Peter Parker thinks it has something to do with puberty, but what he does not know is that at the beginning of the game, Miles suffers from a quick and painful spider bite. He does not think of it, but as players, we see and know that it's actually a "super-spider" search that bites Morales.
This gives him spider powers just like Peter. If and when a sequel of this game comes out, you can count on a Morales Spider-Man Miles. We've already seen Spider-Man teach Miles how to fight in this game, so the setup is perfect. I think we will have a very interesting student-teacher relationship to watch for the next game.
The second clip finally teases the villain we all expected: Venom. Of course, Eddie Brock is not the host this time. In a huge twist, it is revealed that Harry Osborn could play the role of Venom in the Marvel's Spider-Man after.
Harry is suffering from an intense illness that has cost his mother life. Norman Osborn refuses to lose Harry to the same disease and conducts all sorts of dangerous research to cure him. In his hidden research lab, there are several super-spiders, and we are led to believe that Norman is trying to bonage them to discover a regenerative power that can help his son.
Suspended in a kind of medical tank, Harry is surrounded by dark matter that strangely resembles the symbiote we all know. When Norman presses his hand on the glass, the dark matter touches itself, revealing a certain autonomy. This definitely builds towards the next venom.
