The hits continue to come for Derek Carr – and he has not even played football for nine days.

On Monday, after his club resumed after the break, the Raiders quarterback saw No. 1 receiver Amari Cooper leave the field after being traded to the Cowboys.

On Tuesday, Carr was forced to defend himself from a report, via The Athletic, alleging that the triple Pro Bowler had a "fractured relationship" with his teammates. This assessment comes from anonymous sources who say that trust in the Raiders HQ weakened in Carr, apparently exacerbated by perceptions that he was crying on the field during the loss to Oakland in Week 6, after his undead arm was damaged.

Carr does not have it.

He sent a tweet in response to Darren, his older brother, who listed Carr's various injuries, and at ProFootballTalk on Tuesday morning, saying, "Do not even waste time with this big brother. I screamed Get up, then I got to the sideline and shouted again, not a tear, not once, there is truth, people will click on it because it looks crazy, but stop playing with me. "

Carr then made another tweet, further clarifying her dedication to Raider Nation and her locker room, even though her team's season from 1 to 5 was all about the pipe.

"I'm a Raider, it's not a" popular "thing to be a Raider at the moment, but I am and I love it," wrote Carr.

"I love the struggle to try to defend our city when few people believe in us. People can try anything to tear us apart, but that does not happen for real."

All this seems a little questionable since Carr has always had the support of his teammates, especially key leaders … like the former Raider Khalil Mack, always a good friend of the quarterback. Carr, who was also injured on more than one occasion, had difficulties (8 INT, 89.4 smugglers) in 1st year under Jon Gruden, but he is part of a franchise in full recovery .

And Gruden certainly seems to support it, even though commercial rumors will inevitably be born now on the hot selling circuit.

"He's the strength of this football team," Gruden said of his QB last week. "He's at my watch, I told him when I got in. If he did not play well, I failed."
