The Boston Red Sox will start with J.D. Martinez in the left field and transfer Andrew Benintendi to the bench as the World Series moves to Dodger Stadium for Game 3 on Friday night.
Martinez injured his ankle in the first game and looked handicapped in Game 2 but is still ready to finish fourth and play in the field for the first time in the playoffs after serving as a designated hitter in Boston.
Martinez led the American Hockey League with 130 RBIs in the regular season and was second at batting average (.330) and home runs (43). He hits 333 with 13 RBIs.
Benintendi, averaging .283 in the playoffs, scored 4 goals against 5 in the first game against the Dodgers, but 0-on-3 with two strikeouts in the second game. Mookie Betts at the front of the pack.
Notable line-up changes for the third game of the World Series:
– Benintendi sits for the first time in the playoffs
– Martinez starts in LF for the 1st time since September 4th
– Grandal starts for the 1st time since match 3 of the NLCS

Shortstop Xander Bogaerts will occupy the second place normally occupied by Benintendi, followed by first baseman Mitch Moreland and Martinez. Second baseman Brock Holt will make his first appearance in the World Series. He will replace Ian Kinsler (1 of 7) at Fenway Park.
After losing the first two games of the World Series in Boston, the Dodgers will present four new faces – left-handed attackers Joc Pederson, Cody Bellinger and Max Muncy, and break-switch Yasmani Grandal – in the starting lineup against righteous Rick Sox Porcello
Right-handed players Brian Dozier, David Freese, Enrique Hernandez and Austin Barnes all started the first two games against left-handed Chris Sox of the Red Sox, Chris Sale and David Price.
Red Sox manager Alex Cora also said Nathan Eovaldi would be "appointed" to start the fourth game on Saturday, although the right-hander could also be used outside the third-game box if needed.
Eovaldi, who threw an eighth perfect run in each of the first two games, then confirmed that he would not start the fourth game if he was playing in the third match.
