The reign of the white man of middle age is over. That's, according to new president Underwood in the Netflix teaser for his sixth and final season of "House of Cards".

The trailer, released Thursday, opens with President Claire Underwood (Robin Wright) in a speech in which she acknowledges to the public that the first 100 days of her presidency "have been difficult."

"I lost my husband. We were about to celebrate together 30 years, "she says, while the trailer shows a scene where Claire seems to be crying over her late husband, Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey), who had resigned the previous season while States' she was his vice-president.

The teaser then returns to Claire's speech. While she stands behind a lectern, she probably breaks the fourth wall – which Frank has often done in the series to deliver an inner monologue – and says:

"Here's the thing, what did Francis tell you in the last five years? Do not believe a word of it. "

The teaser then returns to Claire's mourning scene, which is now crying in her hand. But she quickly raises her face with her palm and reveals a cold stone expression as the mascara runs down her face.

The teaser then continues to get different characters to say, "You thought you were doing well, Claire" and "you look like a gangster" to Claire. Others say things like "Our president scares me" and "We need to take this woman out of the house." There is even a bullet in the glass of a car and to Claire's head.

The latest trailer shows how the series will handle the departure of Spacey, who was sent off midway through the production of the sixth season after charges of sexual assault were laid against him in September 2017.

A month after Spacey 's departure, Netflix announced that the series would continue without him and would instead focus on Wright' s character, making her the main character in the series.

"This is going to be different for you and me," says Claire in the trailer 's conclusion, while a picture of her standing behind the desk giving her speech pops up again at the front desk. screen.

Still, it remains to be seen how things will go until the first season of the show, November 2nd.
