The Saturday night opening sketch indicates that Thanos is part of the migrant caravan

On the episode of tonight's Saturday Night Live, the NBC classic took only a few seconds to incorporate a genre character into the initial sketch.

Laura Ingraham and Jeanine Pirro, of Mocking Fox News, discussed the caravan of migrants that hit the headlines last week when he left the Avengers: Infinity War scoundrel.

"There are Guatemalans, Mexicans, ISIS, the Menendez brothers, the Detroit Pistons of 1990, Thanos and Babadooks," said Cecily Strong in describing Pirro.

Of course, the migrant in question refers to the caravan of migrants currently in transit from Guatemalan across Mexico, a hot topic that the Conservatives tried to tackle in the days leading up to the mid-term elections.

The Mad Titan version of Josh Brolin should appear in the next edition Avengers 4. Brolin had previously described Thanos as a "complex" character.

"Thanos is a very complex character," said Brolin. "What he does, from his point of view, is a very positive thing."

"We wanted to tell the story of a character to the very complex and empathic inner life," said Anthony Russo, co-director. "There are not many actors who can give you these two pieces of information, Josh Brolin brings a reality to the character."

War of Infinity directors Joe and Anthony russos said that, although Thanos is "despicable", the Mad Titan is also sometimes "empathetic".

"I think Thanos is a marvel," said Joe Russo at IndieWire. "That really reflects every level of nuance in Josh Brolin's performance." You look at Josh as a giant, purple alien, and you see all his movement, all of his facial expressions, at the most subtle level I do not know. we've already seen this level of photo-real performance capture, maybe in Apes movies, but it's really revolutionary. "

"Even though he's despicable on so many levels, a part of Thanos is very empathetic," Anthony said. "He has a very complex inner life, and it's not quite bad, Josh is an artist capable of producing that kind of complexity, where you have that level of violence, but at the same time you have that sensitivity level. "

Avengers 4 opens on May 3, 2019.
