NEWARK, N.J. (AP) – The situation will have more time before it starts his eight months in prison for tax fraud.

A federal judge in New Jersey said Monday that the "Jersey Shore" star, whose real name is Michael Sorrentino, would now have until January 15 to go to jail. We do not know where he will be incarcerated.

Sorrentino will be getting married on November 1st. In granting the extension, the judge took note of Sorrentino's criminal record while on bail.

Sorrentino and his brother, Marc, pleaded guilty in January on similar charges. They were charged in 2014 with tax offenses related to an income of nearly $ 9 million.

Michael Sorrentino participated in the six seasons of the reality show broadcast from 2009 to 2012 and followed the lives of roommates in the city of Seaside Heights, New Jersey.
