DENVER (CBS4) – After officially receiving 2.6 inches of snow in Denver, the snow has completely stopped in the late morning along the Front Range. Predict mostly sunny skies during the afternoon, but the combination of fresh snow and a cold air mass over Colorado will keep temperatures below freezing.
Then get ready for the very cold night that will set in on Tuesday morning with teenage temperatures around Denver, Boulder and Fort Collins. Mountain areas will fall into single-digit numbers – above and below zero.
The rest of the week will include sunny skies and gradually higher temperatures. We will melt more snow Tuesday and Wednesday Wednesday afternoon, almost all the snow in the metropolitan area should be gone.
Our next snow opportunity in Colorado is expected to be on hold until next weekend, while the mountains are expected to receive Saturday snow and at least a chance in the metropolitan area on Sunday. We will keep you posted!
