The Tannehill Dolphins released for the 6th week

The uncertainty surrounding the status of Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill for week 6 has been resolved.

Tannehill is inactive Sunday against the Bears.

The 30-year-old veteran was previously considered suspect because of a right shoulder injury. Brock Osweiler will start with David Fales to assist him.

Miami (3-2) just lost two consecutive defeats against the New England Patriots and the Cincinnati Bengals, while the Bears (3-1) should rest after their week off.

Tannehill has seen a noticeable decline since he led the Dolphins to three straight wins to open the season. After completing over 70% of his passes in Week 3, the quarterback struggled in consecutive games, totaling 285 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions. Considering the Bears boast of being the league's best defense to date, a smuggler is probably not the best choice against a team that has forced eleven turnovers.

Meanwhile, Osweiler has attempted just five assists this season with four finishes and one touchdown. However, this happened in time lost to New England last week. The former starter of the Broncos and Texans did not finish with a QB higher than 75 in any match he started since 2015.
