Leicester City owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was in a helicopter crashing in front of King Power's football stadium after an English Premier League match against West Ham United, the BBC announced.
The Thai billionaire Srivaddhanaprabha was in the helicopter, told the BBC a source close to the family.
The incident occurred in the club parking lot, where police cars and emergency services rushed to an area where the flames were clearly visible before he was evacuated.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and Leicester players and staff, including their goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, the former Leicester goalkeeper and England's Peter Shilton and his distressed supporters were seen in tears when the fire ravaged the parking lot.
The Danish World Cup goalkeeper, Schmeichel, would have been in tears as he watched hell.
It took more than 20 minutes for the flames to extinguish before the emergency services could inspect the wreckage.
Unconfirmed information revealed that the accident was the result of mechanical failure, but details were still scarce on Saturday night.
"We are dealing with an incident in the vicinity of King Power Stadium, where emergency services are aware and are dealing," said Leicestershire police.
Srivaddhanaprabha regularly leaves the stadium in his helicopter, which lands in the center of the circle after every Leicester home game. We still did not know who was in the helicopter.
"Hearing that the Leicester City owners' helicopter crashed on the club's parking lot," tweeted Leicester broadcaster and former Gary Lineker player.
Police in Leicestershire confirmed that emergency services were dealing with an incident near King Power Stadium, but they did not provide more details.
"I hope they're fine, it looks like they were not so lucky, just a blaze of flames," a Sky News witness said.
The NHS Trust of the East Midlands Ambulance Service tweeted: "We are also present and we will update if possible."
Srivaddhanaprabha, owner of King Power, bought Leicester in 2010 and became president in February. Under the ownership of the Thai businessman, Leicester won the Premier League title in 2016.

In the pre-crash match, Leicester avoided a third consecutive loss in EPL with a late-night equalizer from Wilfred Ndidi bringing the score to 1-1.
Manager Claude Puel dropped talismanic forward Jamie Vardy on the Leicester bench and the controversial decision seemed to have turned against him when his team sank in the 30th minute while Fabian Balbuena scored a rebound after his diving head rebounded.
The visitors, however, were reduced to 10 men eight minutes later after Mark Noble received a red card for a dangerous tackle on Ndidi.
Vardy replaced Rachid Ghezzal at half-time and the former England striker lost two good chances while Leicester laid siege to West Ham.
The local team finally took advantage one minute from the end of Ndidi's shot after a wide deflection of Balbuena.
The match was messed up late in the game when Daniel Amartey of Leicester was taken on a stretcher, needing oxygen after seeming to get his stallions in the turf.
