The Timberwolves bench wins against the Pacers – Twin Cities

In the past, the fans – and the coach – had the opportunity to hold their breath and wait for it to be over.

The beginning of the fourth quarter has often been a frightening period. An inconsistent and underused bench would often take and waste leads, creating uncomfortable finishes for starters.

This does not seem to be the case this season. This was certainly not the case Monday night. The Timberwolves entered the fourth quarter behind Indiana 73-72. Tom Thibodeau released a five-man unit from the bench to kick off the final period.

The result? A 12-0 run that brought Minnesota to a 101-91 victory. The Wolves are now 2-0 at the Target Center this season.
