The US Department of Education has honored 18 New Jersey schools on Monday among the nation's winners of one of the most important awards in the field of education.
The schools were named Blue Ribbon National Schools for 2018, a school award with exemplary test results.
"I am happy to celebrate with you as your school is designated a national blue ribbon school," said US Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos in a video message to the winners. "We recognize and honor your important work in preparing students for a successful career and a rewarding life."
Winners include 349 public and private schools in 47 states and the District of Columbia. The following schools in New Jersey have each received this honor:
